we have the pleasure in inviting you to join us for 3rd Conference of Young Scientists “Determinants of environmental management: present status” 3–4 November 2016

THE CONFERENCE FOCUS

“The environmental management” constitutes the leitmotiv of the conference. What is meant by the environmental management here is managing the environment both as a global system and as each of its components (i.e. earth, water, soil etc.), which means that the term also includes the management of the natural resources, the management of environmental protection and environmental engineering.
The environmental management has become an interdisciplinary field of study now, as it is being researched from the perspective of various aspects among which the most prominent ones may include: natural aspect, legal aspect, economic aspect, technical aspect and ethical aspect as well as other aspects pertaining to responsible management.
The aim of the conference is to integrate young researchers and practitioners working in the field of sustainable development, and to encourage people from various backgrounds to work together and create interdisciplinary teams engaged in research related to the new paradigm of development.
The first conference in the series, “Contemporary conditions of environment management” took place in November 2013, and second one – in November 2014. Both conferences were attended by dozens of participants, representing academic centres from Poland and from abroad.

The conference is organised in cooperation with:
• Oikos Academic Scientific Club, which brings together students, and other scholars, who are interested in the environ-mental aspects of business and modern management systems.
• TNJiŚ Quality and Environmental Society, which aims at promoting and popularizing science, conducting and supporting research with particular emphasis on issues pertaining to quality and environmental management. The Society publishes a quarterly, Journal of Quality and Environmental Studies (http://journalqe.com/).

• Institute of Economic Research, which operates as an independent unit involved in conducting and popularizing the results of scientific research in the field of economics (http://www.badania-gospodarcze.pl/).
