The role of quality in franchise development

Purpose: The aim of this article is to show the franchise as a modern business model and the impact of quality on franchise development.
Design/methodology/approach: an overall analysis of a text.
Findings: Franchise is, without doubt, one of the fastest developing business models in Poland and in the world. Increasing number of outposts and constant perfecting of products pushes franchisors and franchisees to enhance the quality of provided services.
Originality/value: This article presents franchise as a business activity the success of which depends on many factors. The corporate image is created not only by the executive board but also by the employees of particular establishments and individual clients. A continuous cooperation with a consumer, the adjustment of a product to increasing client’s needs are the essential elements in franchise development.
