Social responsibility based on city museum „Gerhart Hauptmann’s House”

Purpose: This article is an attempt to present the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the example of the cultural institution of the City Museum "Gerhart Hauptmann’s House".
Design/methodology/approach: For the purpose of their research they used the method of critically analyzing the literature.
Findings: The aims of this article show that the concept of CSR should apply to other sectors, not just to profit-oriented companies. Social responsibility is a concept often associated with business and financial gain, but all organizations should be socially responsible.
